Dare 2B Artzy Easter Basket

Hello!  Spring is here, and it’s almost time for the Easter Bunny to pay us a visit!
I am ready for a little candy binge with my Dare 2B Artzy Easter Basket!

I started by cutting two 6″ x 6″ pieces of Fields of Blooms paper.  I adhered them together so that the dotted side of the patterned paper would be showing on both the inside and outside of the basket.  I then scored the paper at 2″ and 4″.

I turned the paper 90 degrees and scored once again at 2″ and 4″.  The next step was to cut on the score lines from both sides to the center score lines as shown in the photo.

After using a bone folder to crease all of the fold lines, I attached the handle which was formed by cutting a strip of white card stock at 1 1/4″ x 8″.  I used a border punch along both sides of the card stock and then adhered a striped piece of paper down the middle.

To assemble the basket, I adhered the handle to the front of the middle basket section and then brought each side to the center and put strong adhesive behind each part to hold them in place.  I repeated this process on the opposite side of the basket.
Then the fun stamping began!  I used flowers from Flowers for Mom and Doodle Flowers.  The hummingbird is part of the Be Yourself stamp set.  Each of these sets has matching dies.

I colored with the following Copic Markers:
BG01, B04, B05
R14, R05, R29
YG03, YG17, G99

I added accents with Sakura Glaze pens #825 and #805, Wink of Stella, and a white Signo Uni-ball pen.

I wish you could see the sparkle from the Wink of Stella in my photo!

This month’s Dare 2B Artzy Challenge is “Anything Goes!”  Be sure and check it out here!  It’s always wonderful to see what all of you create!

Happy Easter,

Melody
