Cards

Thank you, neighbor!

Hi!  My husband and I were recently surprised by a wonderful neighbor.  He was out mowing his grass, had a little extra time on his hands, and decided to mow our lawn, too!  You should’ve seen the huge grin on my husband’s face…priceless!

As a way to thank this young man and his family, we bought them a box of Cheryl’s Cookies (made in Westerville, Ohio, and soooo delicious) packaged with this colorful thank you card made with some fun Dare 2B Artzy stamps!

The background was created with distress ink blending which was then cut out using the Die-namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax die.
The butterfly and flower images were stamped with Dare 2B Artzy’s Copic friendly Totally Black ink.  I colored the images from Flowers for Mom, Butterfly Inspiration, and Butterfly using the following Copic markers:
RV10, RV04, RV09
YG11, G14, G17
BG01, B04, B05
C1, C3, C4, C5
Accents were added using Sakura Glaze pens #825, #849, #820, and #829.

The flowers and butterfly were all cut out using the coordinating Dare 2B Artzy dies.  The large flower and the butterfly were mounted using foam tape to add extra dimension.

I hope you will all go out and perform a random act of kindness just as our neighbor did!  Wouldn’t the world be a wonderful place if we practiced a little more kindness?

Happy stamping and I hope this week is amazing for you!
Thanks for stopping by!
Melody

  2. Beautiful card and beautiful story! My husband and our neighbor have been doing that for each other for five years! We just sold/closed on our house and are getting ready to move 1700 miles west to Colorado – sure will miss this guy! Just goes to show there ARE still good people out there! 🙂

Good luck on your move! Florida to Colorado is quite the change, but I’m sure you will love it!
