Dare 2B Artzy’s May Challenge

Happy May!  Welcome to this month’s Dare 2B Artzy Girly Challenge!

I was lucky enough to have just received the Wishing Happiness stamp set, and I thought it would be the perfect set to use for this new challenge!

I began by stamping the flowers using Totally Black ink and then coloring with the following Copic markers:  BG13, BG05, BG09
YG13, YG17, BG07
V15, V09, BV08
Y02, Y18
The leaves were stamped from the Totally Tracy Find Your Purpose stamp set.
I added details with a Signo Uniball White Pen and Sakura Glaze Pens #819 and #849.

To create the card background, I blended Broken China and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides onto white card stock.  I then spritzed the Leaf Background Die with water.

After spritzing, I turned the die over and placed the side with the water on top of my ink blending.  I immediately placed a paper towel on top of the die to soak up any excess water.  The water reacts with the oxides and gives you a beautiful impression of your die!

This background piece was then die cut with the stitched rectangle border which is included in the Leaf Background Die set.  While at the die cutting machine, I cut out the Friends Layering Die using yellow and violet card stock.  I love the font, and the two pieces layer perfectly!

After adhering the ink blended piece to my yellow card stock base, I adhered the flowers, leaves, friends diecut, ribbon, and a few gems.

I think this is pretty girly, don’t you?!!  🙂

Don’t forget to share any of your Dare 2B Artzy creations over on Instagram using #dare2bartzy!  I can’t wait to see what you share!

Happy stamping!
Melody
