Welcome to Dare 2B Artzy‘s Blog Hop!
Summer is such a beautiful time of year! It’s always so fun to see all the beautiful flowers blooming!
In honor of summer, we decided to have a fun Blog Hop with the theme of Dreaming of Flowers!
A few DT members are using previously released floral stamp sets and a few are using two of our newly released floral stamp sets! If you haven’t had a chance to see our two newest floral stamp sets, be sure to check them out: Wishing Happiness and Playful Posies!!
They are beautiful and so much fun to use!
You should have arrived here from the Dare 2BArtzy Blog. Be sure to follow each blog and leave comments along the way for your chance at winning! We will randomly choose a winner from one of the blogs so the more you comment, the more chances you have to win!
The winner will receive a stamp set and ink pad of their choice!!
The Blog Hop will end Sunday, August 27, at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
We will then post a winner! It could easily be you!
Hi! It’s Melody! Thanks for joining in on all the fun!
I loved creating so much with the new Playful Posies Layered Set that I created TWO cards!
On this first one, I stamped the outline images using Midnight Blue Ink. I also stamped the outline images onto masking paper and cut them out.
Arranging the flowers was just part of the fun! Next I went back and stamped the flower layers using Paradise, Margarita Lime, and Blue Sky Inks.
I love how everything looks like a big mess with masking until you peel off the masks for the big reveal!
Next, I trimmed along the bottom portion of the images and adhered this panel to the front of a turquoise card base. After adhering some patterned paper to the inside of the card, I stamped a get well sentiment from the Tea 4 Two stamp set.
I repeated the outline stamping on my second card using the Totally Black Ink. Those of you who know me well know that I just can’t resist doing some coloring with Copic markers! The Totally Black Ink is Copic friendly!
Here are the Copic markers that I used: (B00, B21, B24), (YG03, YG17, YG99), and (BG13, BG05, BG09).
A few accents with a Copic Multiliner, a Sakura Glaze Pen, and clear Wink of Stella, and I was ready to complete my card as shown in the first example!
Here are both of the cards! Using the layers to complete the card was definitely quicker, but coloring fans may want to give both ways a chance with this versatile set!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Your next stop in the hop is the ever so very creative Tonya!
We hope you are inspired all along the way!
