Hi, Stampers!
It’s the first day of July, and that means that a new challenge starts over on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog!
This month’s challenge is to design birthday cards!

I tried the Blackout Emboss Resist Technique with the adorable Birthday Balloons with Die from Dare 2B Artzy!

I began by masking off my card stock panel and ink blending with the following Dare 2B Artzy inks: Pomegranate, Bright Pumpkin, Sunset Yellow, Margarita Lime, and Paradise.  Then I stamped the balloons and star from the Birthday Balloons set with the WOW! Embossing Pad.

After the embossing was completed, I covered the entire inked portion with black ink and immediately wiped it off with a cloth.  That part was a little scary! 😉

I do love the final result!!  After adding some thin strips of black card stock to the front of the card, I stamped the birthday sentiment from the You’ve Got Mail Stamp Set.
