My card uses some of the beautiful images from the Lotus Blooming Stamp Set.  I began by stamping one of the lotus flowers with Dare 2B Artzy’s Totally Black Ink which is Copic marker friendly!  The image was then colored with the following Copic marker combinations: (BG13, BG05, BG09) and (YG03, YG17, G99).

Next, I cut out the image with the Lotus Die.

This die set is very versatile as you can cut out the entire large image with the larger die or you can do as I did and cut out the middle section with the smaller die.  I chose to cut them out separately to make it easier to do a dimensional technique.

Next, I taped the two dies together and cut out four more outer layers which I stacked and glued together.  I adhered my stamped image to the very top which gave me a dimensional frame for the inner portion of the stamp.

After determining where I wanted the lotus bloom on my card front panel, I traced the inside of the die with a pencil.  Using the MISTI, I then began stamping the branch image around the edges of the card front.  These were colored with the same Copic combinations listed above.

I die cut the card front panel using the stitched rectangle which is part of the Leaf Background Die Set.  This panel was adhered to the card front, and then the stacked border was glued on.  I added the center to the middle of the stacked leaf border to create the dimension shown above.  The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed, and added to the card from with foam tape.  Accents were added to the berries with Glossy Accents.

If you are familiar with Dare 2B Artzy, you will already know that many of the dies will also cut the images out of their beautiful papers!

Here you can see how both of the dies work with the new Floating Garden Paper.

Thanks for stopping by!
