Let’s SHELLabrate!

Hello, Dare 2B Artzy Fans!  It’s Friday so I think we need to SHELLabrate, don’t you?!!
It would be so nice!  (Sorry, Madonna!)

The manatees from the newly released Seas the Day Stamp Set are ready to help us celebrate!  Check out the other great sentiments in this set as well as the fun octopus!

The manatee, shells, and present images were first stamped with D2BA’s Totally Black Ink which is Copic friendly.  After coloring the images with Copic Markers, the images were cut out using the coordinating Seas the Day Die.  I couldn’t resist stamping a little seaweed and a starfish for my card from the Otterly Awesome Stamp Set.

To create my underwater scene, I die cut white card stock with the stitched rectangle from the Leaf Background Die.  Next, a circle was cut using the D2BA Circle Framelits Die Set.  I love the dot detail that these dies leave on both the circle and the card stock from which it was cut!  I mounted a piece of Under the Sea Paper to my card base, and then the white card stock panel was added to the card base using foam tape.  When the scene was completed, the sentiment was embossed and added to the front of the card.

If you look really closely, you will see that I fussy cut a little fish from the border on the Under the Sea Paper and included it in the underwater scene.  The borders on all of the Dare 2B Artzy papers are an added bonus!

If you haven’t had a chance to enter this month’s challenge at Dare 2B Artzy, be sure and check it out HERE!

Happy stamping, and I hope you get a chance to celebrate this weekend because it’s time for the good times!  Okay, I promise to stop with the song lyrics…at least for now!
Have a great weekend!
