Hello, Dare 2B Artzy Friends!
It’s time for the September Challenge at Dare 2B Artzy, and it’s all about your favorite color!
I love bright colors as you can tell from my card and envelope below! Bright pink might just be my very favorite!
My card was first stamped with fun images from the Stinkin’ Happy Stamp Set! I love this little skunk, and the sentiments from this set just make me smile! After stamping the images with D2BA’s Totally Black Ink, I colored them with the following Copic marker combinations: (C00, C1, C3, C4, C5, C7, C9), (YR04, YR?06, YR18), (RV04, RV09, R56), and ( YG11, G14, G17).
The skunk, flowers, and hearts were die cut using the Skunk Dies.
The pretty background paper is Pretty in Pink from the Summertime Petals Collection. After die cutting the Rectangle Framelits from white and pink card stock, all the elements were adhered to the card base.
I wanted to have a coordinating envelope so I covered the envelope flap with the Pretty in Pink Paper, too! I stamped a sentiment from the first Stamping Village Release, Mail Delivery, and die cut it with the Circle Framelits. I adhered it to a pink circle which was also cut from the Circle Framelits and glued it to the card flap as a seal.
The Stamping Village has just released a new set called Holiday Seals.
These seals would work great on cards as well as on envelopes! All proceeds from this set go to support the Dreaming Zebra Foundation which provides art and music materials for underprivileged children. Check out the cards made with these stamps over on the Dare 2B Artzy site!
I hope to see your creations for the Favorite Colors Challenge linked over on the Dare 2B Artzy blog! A prize will be randomly awarded to one lucky person at the end of the month!
If you haven’t joined the private D2BA Facebook group yet, please go to Facebook and search for “Artzy Community.” This group inspires me daily, and the Artzy Community will be the first to see any new releases or specials!
Happy stamping!
