There’s Gnome Place Like Home!

I’m sending a big shout-out today to everyone who is following the Coronavirus guidelines so we can stop the spread of this pandemic.  I am especially grateful to all the essential workers who must keep going to work so the rest of us can have food, medical treatment, and all the other necessities we need to survive.
If you are not one of these essential workers, please remember that there’s really gnome place like home to be right now!

I am also grateful to my crafty friends who are staying connected online and who are helping me feel a true sense of community during these trying times!  This post is dedicated to all of you!

I LOVE crafting with my gnomies whether it’s in person or online!  This stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy is perfect for expressing that, and she just makes me smile!

The gnome, mushrooms, and the sentiment are from Dare 2B Artzy’s Crafty Gnome Stamp Set!

After stamping the images with Totally Black Ink, I colored them with the following Copic Marker combinations: (R12, R43, R22, R14), (BG10, BG34, BG23, BG49), (Y18, Y02, V22), (E31, E35, E37, E29), (E50, E01, E93, R81), and (C1, C3).  Accents were added with Nuvo Glitter Gloss and Sakura Glaze Pens #850, #803. #805, and #800.  The images were then die cut with the Crafty Gnome Dies.

The frame was created by nesting two of the Square Framelits together and die cutting.  Foam tape was added behind the frame to create dimension for the scene.  The plaid paper used in the matting layer is called Honey Bear.

Please don’t forget about the March Anything Goes Challenge on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog!  There is still time to enter for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate!  You can enter HERE!

Happy stamping, and take care!
Melody

  1. I love this! And I’m so grateful to have you in my life – physically distant for now, but never socially distant!
