Anything Goes Challenge at Dare 2B Artzy!

If you love musicals as much as I do, the title of this month’s challenge on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog will have you channeling your inner Cole Porter! That’s right! This month’s challenge is Anything Goes!

I’m not going to be showing you anything too shocking, I hope, but I am going to show you a glimpse of my card with its base layer exposed!

Oh, no! You can see all my very careful coloring! LOL!
I began my card by embossing the D2BA Slimline Wildflower Background Die on some heavy base weight card stock. I then colored all of the embossed areas with the following Copic Markers: R08, YR16, Y02, YG07, B04, and BG34. The fun part about this technique is that there is no shading, and you don’t have to be very careful with your coloring! I added Nuvo Glitter Gloss to the raised areas to add a little shine! My heavy paper cracked a bit during the embossing, but I looked upon that as added texture! 🙂
I used my paper trimmer to trim off the edges, and I die cut two more pieces of white card stock using the Slimline Wildflower Background Die. I then layered both of those die cut pieces over my base layer.

After cutting a piece of Sweetmobile Paper using the large stitched rectangle from D2BA’s Wavy Slimline Framelit Die Set, I adhered the patterned paper to my base. The wildflower layer was added next with foam tape for a little dimension.
After embossing the sentiment from the Friends Stamp Set, I die cut it with a die from the Wavy Slimline Framelit Die Set and added it to the card front.
