I hope you have fun entering your creations on the blog hop!  There are so many fabulous sponsors and tons of chances to win some terrific prizes.  You might even be Dare 2B Artzy’s winner!

Dare 2B Artzy’s September challenge is to create a shaped card.  I thought this fun fall cocoa card fit the bill for both the challenge and the blog hop!  You can enter your shaped cards in the Ship Shape Challenge HERE for a chance to win a stamp set and ink pad of your choice!

I began my card by lightly tracing a circle die onto card stock with a pencil.  I stamped the sentiment from Cup of Cheer in the middle of my circle.  This circle helped me position the beautiful leaves from the Tangle Leaves stamp set.  Die cutting the leaf shape from stamping mask paper helped me keep my leaves from overlapping one another as I created the leaf wreath (say that three times rapidly!!!).

Next, the leaves were colored with Copic markers.  I used the following combinations: (Y17, YR04, YR09), (YR16, R05, E19),  and (YG03, YG17, YG99).  Accents were added with a Sakura Glaze pen #822.

After the coloring was completed, I did a little fussy cutting around the leaves to make my shape card.  I then traced my shape on a folded card base and cut that out.  The leaf wreath was adhered to the top of the card base.  After stamping, coloring, and die cutting the cup from the Cup of Cheer stamp set, I was ready to pop it up on the card with a little foam tape.
