Beauty in Black and White

Happy first Monday of Fall, Stampers!
As you know, I’m a gal who loves a bright color or two, but today I’m sharing a card completely done in black and white!

I began by stamping flowers from Flowers for Mom and Wishing Happiness with a WOW! Embossing Pad onto black card stock which I had prepared with an embossing buddy.  I stamped the flower in the upper left corner of the card twice as the coordinating die set allows the cutting of multiple flower layers. The flowers and leaves were then embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder.

The dies cut out the images perfectly!  I was then able to use foam tape to create layered dimension on the flower shown above.  Stamping a sentiment from the Flowers for Mom set with Totally Black Ink completed my card.  I am blessed to have many friends to whom I could send this card!  The terrific part is that I can make several of these cards as they can be created in a short amount of time!

Please don’t forget to enter your cards in this month’s Dare 2B Artzy Challenge!  The next challenge begins on Sunday, and I don’t want you to miss out on the opportunity to win a stamp set and ink pad of your choice!

Happy stamping!
Melody

  1. I always feel like these detailed images are dying to be colored, but they are so striking in black and white! Beautiful card!
